Meiko Kaji was created on March 24, 1947 in the Kanda part of Tokyo, Japan. Pursuing graduation through the Yakumo Academy SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL in Meguro, Tokyo, Japan in 1965, Kaji first started acting in movies in the middle-1960’s under her genuine name of Masako Ota. She was presented with the stage name Meiko Kaji by movie director Masahiro Makino.
