Michael Alig was created in South Flex, Indiana. He was a founding person in the notorious Membership Kids, several young membership goers led by Alig and Adam St. Adam in the past due 1980s and early 1990s. Alig learned from mentors, including St. Adam, while increasing in popularity and prominence within the nationwide underground club picture. Alig was also important in the first advertising of DJ Keoki, Jenny Talia, Freez, Richie Affluent, and many various other Club Child personalities. The Membership Children’ outrageous behavior led to their showing up on the news headlines and the tv screen talk present circuit. Alig’s most notorious celebrations were held on the Limelight, owned by Peter Gatien. The Limelight was shut by the authorities, but eventually reopened many times through the 1990s. In Sept 2003, it reopened beneath the name “Avalon”. The events of Alig’s years being a club promoter as much as his arrest were examined within the 1998 documentary, Party Monster (1998), and recreated within a 2003 film of the same name (see Party Monster (2003)), starring Macaulay Culkin as Alig and Seth Green as St. Adam. The events may also be protected in St. James’s memoir, ‘Disco Bloodbath’. Alig was qualified to receive parole in November 2006, but was denied. He was once again rejected parole in July 2008 and got his conditional discharge time in March 2010. His discharge happened up after Alig received another solution for prescription medication make use of. Alig was ultimately released on parole in-may 2014.
