Michael was created in East Harlem, NEW YORK in 1913. He resided there until his family members relocated to the Bronx in 1923. There he went to J.H.S. #45 and it had been there he fulfilled Mr. John Garfield, after that recognized to him as Julias Garfinkle. They both belonged to the episode club at the institution and performed in a number of plays together. After graduating senior high school Michael was drafted in to the United States Military on July 11, 1941 and was stationed in the us until 1944 of which time he was shipped towards the Phillipines. He worked well like a sergeant in the U.S. Military. His work was inspecting boats in Manila Bay to find out if they had been undermanned or overmanned. After that Michael was devote a particular group that was delivered to New Guinea in the southwest Pacific searching for the enemy, japan. In 1945 the battle finished, and Michael was honorably discharged. Following the war, Michael became involved with community theater and was among the founders from the Hudson Guild Players, situated in the Chelsea portion of Manhattan. He performed in business lead roles in Given birth to Yesterday, Home from the Daring, Detective Tale and John Loves Mary. He also performed in the Cherry Lane Theatre in Arsenic and Aged Lace. At 60 years Michael joined the guts Stage Community Playhouse in the Pelham Bay portion of the Bronx. He’s performed in 27 performs including comedy, episode and musicals, i.e. Cabaret, Men and Dolls, and Fiddler on the top (performed at Lincoln Middle, NEW YORK). He also appeared in Prizzi’s Honor with Jack port Nicholson and Kathleen Turner and on tv in Kane and Abel with Peter Straus. Currently at 90 years of age, Michael is unusually fit and young looking, mainly because his photo (taken lately) will attest. He talks Italian and Spanish fluently.
