Mini Biography
Mike was created in Harrow, Middlesex in June 1947. Educated at St Paul’s College, London, he obtained a BA in American and British Books at Manchester University or college prior to starting his profession in journalism using the Surrey Comet in 1969. Then became a member of AAP Reuters, a Sydney-based information company, as bulletins editor. In 1974 he relocated to United Papers as a sports activities reporter, then sports activities editor. Mike became a member of Thames TV like a sub-editor and reporter in 1979, before becoming a member of TV-am in 1983 at its release as a sports activities reporter/presenter and presenter from the Sunday edition of HELLO Britain. He became anchorman of GMB in 1987. After TV-am, Mike continued to be regular presenter of Yorkshire TV’s information magazine program “Calendar”.
