Hugh was created in Oxford, Britain on June 11, 1959, to Patricia (Laidlaw) and William George Ranald Mundell “Ran” Laurie, a health care provider, both of Scottish descent. He was informed at Eton and Cambridge. Child of the Olympic platinum medalist in the activity, he rowed for the Britain youth group (1977) as well as for Cambridge (1980). He fulfilled Emma Thompson at Cambridge in 1978 when both became a member of “Footlights” and was launched to Stephen Fry by Emma in 1980. Hugh is definitely wedded and lives in LA. His wife and three kids, who previously resided in London, are shifting to LA to live with him. Besides performing and humor, he has created the best-selling thriller The Weapon Seller. Another novel, entitled The Paper Soldier, is definitely forthcoming.
