Nikolai Gritsenko was a notable Russian acting professional known for the part as Kareni in Anna Karenina (1967) by director Aleksandr Zarkhi, so that as Nazi General in Television series ‘Semnadtsat mgnovenii vesny’ by director Tatyana Lioznova. He was created Nikolai Olimpiyevich Gritsenko on July 24, 1912, in Yasinovataya, Donetsk province, Russian Empire (now Donetsk, Ukraine). In 1934 he graduated from Makeevka College of musical episode, then studied performing in Kiev. From 1937 – 1940 he analyzed performing at Shchukin Theatrical College from the Vakhtangov Theater in Moscow, graduating in 1940 as an acting professional. There his stage companions were such stars as Mikhail Ulyanov, Ruben Simonov, Boris Zakhava, Mikhail Astangov, Vladimir Etush, Varvara Popova, Irina Kupchenko, Natalya Tenyakova, Yuliya Borisova, Lyudmila Maksakova, Lyudmila Tselikovskaya, Marianna Vertinskaya, Nina Ruslanova, Nikolai Plotnikov, Vasiliy Lanovoy, Yuriy Yakovlev, Vyacheslav Shalevich, Andrei Abrikosov, Grigori Abrikosov, Boris Babochkin, Nikolai Timofeyev, Aleksandr Grave, and Evgeniy Karelskikh, amongst others. His most remarkable stage performances had been such jobs as Fedor Protasov in “Zhivoy Trup” (1962) (aka.. The Living Corpse) following the eponymous novel by Leo Tolstoy, as well as the name function as Prince Myshkin in Dostoyevsky’s “Idiot” (1958).
