Per Fly was accepted towards the Danish Film College in 1989. He finished his education in 1993 using the graduation film Space 17. In the next years Per Take flight directed, among additional films, the brief movies Sofaholdet (1994), Phoning Katherine (1994) and THE TINY Knight (1997). In 1998, he aimed the brief film Liftarflickan and three shows of the tv screen show Taxi cab for Danish Radio. In 2001 Per Take flight received a Bodil and a Robert award for Best Director, and both Target audience Award and the very best Director award from Nordische Film Days 2000 in Lübeck. The honours received for Fly’s debut feature film, The Bench (2000), that was the 1st in Per Fly’s trilogy about the low, middle and top course in Denmark. The sequel, Inheritance (2003) about the Danish upper class, was the most attended film in Danish cinemas in 2003 and won a complete of seven Robert awards in 2004, including Best Film, Best Movie director and The Target audience Award. Inheritance also received many major international honours, including the honor for greatest screenplay in the Flaiano International Film Event in Italy and San Sebastian International Film Event in Spain. Per Fly won the award for Best Movie director once more in the Robert Awards, using the last film from the trilogy, Manslaughter (2005), and a Bodil for Best Film as well as the Nordic Council Film Reward. In 2005, Per Take flight received the Crown Prince and Crown Princess’ Tradition Prize for the trilogy. With this framework the Crown Prince mentioned that: “The trilogy is definitely a few of the most powerful movies in Danish film background”. In 2007 Per Take flight made it series Performances in 6 episodes for it network DR. Sonja Richter received the honor for Best Celebrity in the 47th Monte Carlo Television Festival.
