Matt Cameron can be an American musician and songwriter. He’s most widely known as the drummer for the Seattle Grunge Rock and roll rings Soundgarden and Pearl Jam. Matt initial performed drums for Seattle music group Skin Lawn, but didn’t acquire international popularity until he became a member of ‘Soundgarden’ with Chris Cornell, Kim Thayil, and Hiro Yamamoto in 1986. He continued to be with ‘Soundgarden’ for approximately ten years before band split in 1997. The music group were one of the primary alternative rock works from the 1990s, along with Alice in Stores, Mudhoney, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, as well as the Screaming Trees and shrubs. By 1994 ‘Soundgarden’ had been an international achievement, their albums ‘Superunknown’ (1994) and ‘Down for the Benefit’ (1996) topping the recording charts. Matt can be credited as article writer – and co-writer – of several from the band’s songs. In 1991 Matt appeared for the ‘Temple from the Pet’ album with Jeff Ament, Chris Cornell, Rock Gossard, Mike McCready, and Eddie Vedder. The recording was a side-project, a tribute to Mom Love Bone vocalist Andrew Real wood who had passed away of the overdose. In 1992 he presented for the soundtrack to – and came out in – the film Singles (1992) starring Matt Dillon and based on the Seattle ‘Grunge’ picture. Following a Soundgarden break up, Matt temporarily performed drums for the rings Smashing Pumpkins and Queens from the Rock Age group, before finally changing Jack port Irons as drummer for Pearl Jam through the 1998 ‘Produce Tour’ where he offers remained since. Matt has supported Weapons N’ Roses on the 1991 tour and played the 1992 Lollapalooza tour with Crimson Hot Chili Peppers and Ministry. He are available on many film soundtracks including John Schlesinger’s Pacific Levels (1990), INCREASE the quantity (1990), _Wayne’s Globe_qv) (1992), Quentin Tarantino’s _Accurate Rommance_ (1993), Tim Burton’s Big Seafood (2003), and Reign Over Me (2007). He offers additional collaborated with Tony Iommi and Peter Frampton. Matt lives outdoors Seattle along with his wife Apr Acevez and their two kids Ray and Josie. He recently (2010) reformed with ‘Soundgarden’ and is constantly on the play drums for ‘Pearl Jam’, dividing his time taken between both rings, whilst still focusing on solo tasks. He features in the Pearl Jam Twenty (2011) documentary.
