Harold Lloyd’s co-star in Teacher Beware (1938) had eight years teaching like a dancer and actress in Michigan and Ohio. For some time, she taught dance at the College or university of Toledo, worked well briefly in share and then going off to NY. After showing up in two failed Broadway productions, she received her 1st good evaluations for ‘End of Summer season’ (originally as understudy to Doris Dudley) in 1936. On the effectiveness of her efficiency, Guthrie McClintic solid her in ‘Large Tor’ in 1937, opposing Burgess Meredith and Peggy Ashcroft.
