Prabhadevi was created in Calcutta around the 12th of August 1903. She joined the stage at about age eight and continued to become among the leading stage personalities of Bengal. Like the majority of stars of her period she acted in movies, also, her 1st display appearance becoming Matri Sneha (1923). She performed lead character types in movies like _Pally Samaj (1932)_ and _Sita (1933)_ . Carrying on both around the stage as well as the display she made several hundred movies in big and little roles till nearly the finish of her existence. Prabhadevi was also a poet of great power and her functions have been released as books. Among her daughters, Ketaki Dutta, was also a favorite stage and display character. Prabhadevi breathed her last around the 8th of November,1952 after a short illness.
