Writer/Movie director, Rafael Del Toro, began his filmmaking profession in UC Berkeley, where he received Berkeley’s highest honor for film, the Eisner Honor for his film, Maris. Rafael continuing his research at NY University’s Tisch College from the Arts Graduate Film System, like a Dean’s Fellow, where he received a local Student Academy Honor (The Playroom), a Coca-Cola Relaxing Filmmaker’s Honor (SHOULD BE Like), a nomination for the DGA’s Greatest Latino Student Movie director, and a Sloan Basis Production Give. His thesis, a dark humor film known as 6ft. in 7min., was a Wasserman Finalist, screened at 47 film celebrations world-wide, and received 14 honours. Rafael spent three years at KNBC/Telemundo, making, directing, and editing and enhancing promos and advertisements. In 2008, Rafael was chosen being a Film Separate Task Involve Fellow, and was recognized into Film Independent’s Director’s Laboratory, where he workshopped his feature script, Mullet. That same season, the script gained the Richard Vague/ Chris Columbus Award, offering pre-production money for the film. Lately, after winning Greatest Film and Greatest Director on the Humor Short Slashes Film Celebration, Rafael was presented with a script offer by NBC Studios to create his first humor Television pilot, Eat Rest, Gas. Rafael is certainly a WGA member, and his forthcoming projects consist of directing his 1st feature script, Mullet, and composing his next Television project, Loco Information.
