Was raised in Småproperty outside Vimmerby within the south of Sweden. Her 1st book arrived in 1944, and she produced a breakthrough the next year using the tales about Pippi Longstocking. Countless tales about Pippi along with other character types of Astrid’s creativity and excellent tale telling ability had been translated to at least 55 dialects and informed to an incredible number of children all around the globe. Lots of the tales were modified for TV and also the silver screen. She relocated to Stockholm early, and she passed away peacefully in her house after a short disease on January 28, 2002 at age 94.
