Roberta Bayley reigns supreme among the primary professional photographers who served as a substantial visual chronicler from the punk rock and roll music motion that lasted in the mid 70s until the first 80s. Roberta was created in Pasadena, California and was raised in the SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA Bay Region. She attended SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA State School for 3 years before falling out in 1971. Bayley briefly resided in London, Britain and eventually resolved in NEW YORK. Roberta worked being a door person on the legendary NY punk membership CBGB’s and eventually befriended a whole lot of essential punk music superstars. Among the punk artists she’s photographed are Iggy Pop, Blondie, Richard Hell, Elvis Costello, The Sex Pistols, Johnny Thunders as well as the Heartbreakers, Joe Strummer, The Ramones (she had taken the picture of these which shows up as the cover image on their traditional debut record), Nick Lowe, The Damned, The Clash, The Deceased Boys, and THE BRAND NEW York Dolls.
