Born in Slot Glasgow, Scotland, McCall started his profession in Western End productions of Oliver, Les Miserables, The Ruler and We, and Neil Simon’s Shed in Yonkers. Then ventured into film and tv, working opposite, amongst others, Bob Hoskins, Michael Caine, Jeremy Irons, as well as the rock and roll group, Queen, playing Freddie Mercury within their MTV video, The Wonder. After a long time using the BBC on various productions, he landed the role of Liebgott in Band of Brothers for HBO. This resulted in him arriving at the US to operate once again with Tom Hanks within the Robert Zemeckis film, The Polar Express.
