Cantor Saul Silverman was created in Russia and immersed himself in Jewish research as a man, which curiosity continued when his family members moved to Detroit. His deep baritone performing tone of voice got him careers on radio, in opera, and with symphony orchestras. He was known appropriately as Detroit’s Performing Cab Drivers. After shifting to LA in 1923 he continuing his performing before Jewish organizations aswell as everyone, including appearances in the Hollywood Dish. He dubbed many stars in Hollywood movies, including Eduard Franz in 1953’s “The Jazz Vocalist.” Silverman was with Hollywood’s Temple Israel for thirty-seven years before loss of life in 1976.
