Prendergast was created in North Shields, educated in Collingwood College, Oswin terrace North Shields, Norham Large and Tynemouth 6th Form University and trained in Bretton Hall University (BA Hons). Predergast’s 1st play Potter’s Steering wheel, written whenever a college student, won five honours in the 1980 Country wide Student Drama Event including Greatest New Play and was consequently presented in the Aged Vic within an NSDF display season. He’s wedded to Niki Winterson (of Wintersons Talent Administration) and includes a stepson Domenic and a girl, Molly. They reside in London. He was an acting professional and playwright in home for Northumberland Theater Company before signing up for the BBC Radio Theatre Business, and subsequently became a creator person in Kenneth Branagh’s newly formed Renaissance Theater Company. Awards add a Sony Award, a Authors Guild Award and a period Out Award. Xmas of 2010 found Shaun play the part of Sarah the Make in the pantomime Dick Whittington in the Lyric Theater Hammersmith, directed by Steve Marmion.
