Sunshine Hart was created Lucia Adams on July 6, 1886, in Vevay, Indiana. She’d later declare that her dad was a minister with an Indian booking and an Indian nurse provided her the nickname “Sunlight”. After senior high school she began acting in share businesses and spent a long time operating vaudeville using the stage “Miss Sunlight”. She wedded Charles W. Hart and in 1912 their girl Leora was created. At age thirty Sunshine produced her film debut in the 1916 humor brief A Scoundrel’s Toll.
