Susan Jackson received tone of voice training in the Royal Manchester University of Music. After her research in Manchester, she visited the London Opera Center where she spent 3 years in the school’s center for advanced performers. She continued to sing with the brand new Opera Company in the Cheltenham Event, in the Glyndebourne Event, and on English radio and tv where she made an appearance in The Relationship of Figaro. She became a member of the D’Oyly Carte Opera Business in 1967 as primary soprano, showing up as Phyllis in “Iolanthe”, Rose Maybud in “Ruddigore”, Endurance in “Endurance”, Gianetta in “The Gondoliers”, and Josephine in “H.M.S.
