Mini Biography
Began performing in the brand new York club, CBGBs. They released their initial album, “Speaking Minds: 77”, in 1977. They documented the film, Prevent Making Feeling (1984), in 1984, with movie director Jonathan Demme. After launching their 1988 record, Nude, the group split up. In 1992, they released “Popular Favorites: Fine sand in the Vaseline”, a 2-disk set of biggest strikes with rarities and never-before-released strikes. After 1992, the group under no circumstances got together once again until 1999, to record the commentary for the particular edition “Prevent Making Feeling” Dvd movie. They performed for the very first time in ten years in 2002, if they had been inducted in to the Stone Hall of Popularity. They performed four early strikes there: “Psycho Killer”, “Lifestyle During Wartime”, “Burning up Down the home” and “Consider Me towards the River”. Today, in 2005, they’ll be re-releasing almost all their albums remastered to excellence within a box-set filled with unreleased tracks, included. Up to now, no reunion time has been established to allow them to play.
