Mini Biography

Funk offers strong wrestling bloodlines. His father, Dory Funk Sr., was a well-known grappler in the 1940s towards the 1970s, and his sibling, Dory Funk Jr., wrestled from 1963 before early 90s, and gained the Country wide Wrestling Alliance (NWA) globe heavyweight tournament in 1969. Funk, himself, became NWA champ and therefore the Funks possess the distinction to be the just brothers to earn the NWA tournament. Funk produced his film debut as (what else?) a wrestler in Sylvester Stallone’s (a observed wrestling enthusiast) movie Heaven Alley (1978). Funk after that do double-duty as an expert wrestler and professional/stunt guy (he was prominent in Patrick Swayze’s film, Road Home (1989)). Not officially an excellent wrestler, Funk was even more known for his brawling methods, and had some very nice feuds during his profession with “Good-looking” Harley Competition, “Nature Guy” Ric Flair, “The American Wish” Dusty Rhodes among others. After preserving a minimal profile in wrestling, Funk resurfaced in the 90s in the brand new Extreme Tournament Wrestling (ECW) series as well as the Globe Wrestling Federation (WWF), this time around in his brand-new persona as “Chainsaw Charlie”.
