Shimmy Marcus is normally a multi award being successful filmmaker functioning across a number of formats and styles. In 1999 he gained the Miramax Script Composing Prize for his feature script ‘Headrush’ which he also aimed. The film gained a number of International honours including Greatest Feature at celebrations in Michigan,NY, as well as the Braunschweig Film Event in Germany. His critically acclaimed feature documentary ‘Aidan Walsh – Expert of the World’ became the first Irish documentary made on video to get theatrical and video distribution. Even more awards adopted for his brief movies and notably for his contribution towards the feature documentary ‘Imagining Ulysses’. Noted for creating many innovative music promos for rings including Fun Lovin’ Bad guys, Snow Patrol, Gavin Fri, Pores and skin (Skunk Anansie), and Republic of Loose, his most recent collaboration has been BP Fallon and Jack port White from the White Stripes. His sophomore feature ‘Soulboy’ collection against the backdrop from the North Soul motion in 70’s Britain won the ‘Enfant Terrible’ portion of the Gijon International film Event. This year 2010 he joined up with The Manufacturing plant as guest Movie director and in 2014 founded Bow Road Academy for Display Performing with Casting Movie director Maureen Hughes and Performing Trainer Gerry Grennell.
