Mini Biography

Trevor White was created in Essex, Britain. He sang and performed piano using the group Noises Incorporated, and transferred to Australia when the group split up. He performed Jesus in Jim Sharman’s 1972 Sydney creation of Jesus Christ Superstar. In 1974 while going to London, White noticed that Sharman was auditioning performers to re-record Rocky’s vocals for The Rocky Horror Picture Present prior to the film’s discharge (an unnamed program singer was utilized as Rocky over the soundtrack record; Peter Hinwood didn’t sing over the record or film, but mimed towards the program singer’s vocals during filming). Light auditioned for musical arranger Richard Hartley, and dubbed Rocky’s music and vocal sounds during editing at EMI-Elstree Studios for the ultimate mono film audio. White afterwards toured using the Kinks, after that came back to Australia to are a songwriter. Trevor Light was interviewed by Scott Michaels for his 2002 reserve Rocky Horror: From Concept to Cult. Richard Hartley verified in the reserve that Light dubbed Rocky’s component in post-production.
