One of the most intriguing and talented filmmakers to emerge lately, Tyler Norman’s early origins closely mirrored those of another well-known filmmaker, Steven Spielberg. Acquiring control of his family’s holiday videos young and using films in an effort to cope along with his years as a child and adolescent anxieties, he later started making short movies and distributing VHS copies around his senior high school. As an adolescent, Norman built dollies from model teach tracks, constructed makeshift cranes and Steadicams from aged tripod parts, produced cardboard inserts to create light patterns along with his father’s slip projector, and constructed custom lens accessories for his camcorders. After being struggling to go to Chapman University’s film college for insufficient funds, he joined the film system at Orange Coastline University where he bypassed several entry-level classes and instantly began creation of 16mm movies. At exactly the same time he began composing screenplays and sending them around to numerous small production homes for feedback. Norman was discovered by Joey Travolta in 2008, after a pal of the family members contacted him and arranged a gathering.
