Vasil Barkov was created in 1972, in Bessarabia, Ukraine. In 1998 he graduated in Film and Television Directing from Country wide Academy for Theatre and Film Artwork, Sofia. Director, article writer and maker of documentary and show movies: Bessariabia, My Like (1998); Shakespeare Balkan Style (2002); The Glory of Bulgaria (fic., 2003); THE FINAL Trip (fic., 2008), One Shot (2009); Crisis Landing (2009); The Monument and His Sibling (2012), etc. A few of his works earned him nationwide and international honours.
