Mini Biography

Blues musician Walter Web page was created in Gallatin, MO, in 1900. When he is at his 20s he became a member of Bennie Moten’s orchestra. In 1925 he produced his own music group, Walter Page’s Blue Devils, which became perhaps one of the most well-known and important blues “golf swing rings”. The music group included such blues legends as Scorching Lips Web page, Buster Smith, Lester Youthful, Count number Basie and Jimmy Hurrying. The Blue Devils didn’t record much–they just released two singles–and its best members left to become listed on Moten’s music group, which Web page himself finally do in 1931. He ultimately joined Count number Basie and His Orchestra, and in the later 1940s proved helpful in NEW YORK with such blues symbols as Billie Vacation. Web page stayed in the brand new York blues picture, and died for the reason that town in 1957.
