In the past due 1920s, Lewis worked well like a circus performer, but ultimately chosen college, earning a Ph.D. in kid mindset from Columbia College or university. He taught college and had written two children’s books. In 1949, in the recommendation of a pal, Lewis considered acting and became a member of the Paul Mann Actor’s Workshop in NY. Lewis worked well in burlesque and vaudeville theaters in the united states, which eventually resulted in Broadway. From the 1950s, tv was flourishing, and Lewis got advantage of the task appearing on nearly every live display from his home foundation of NEW YORK. His most well-known regular TV tasks were Official Leo Schnauser on Car 54, Where ARE YOU CURRENTLY? (1961) and Grandpa for the Munsters (1964). When these displays ended, he opened up a cafe in NY known as “Grampa’s” in Greenwich Town. He offers since produced a house video for kids and made an appearance on WTBS in some Saturday morning applications for children.
