Alan Best began as an helper animator for Hanna-Barbera even though still in senior high school. He continued to study artwork and style in Paris on the atelier from the artwork deco poster musician Paul Colin. As trainee at France’s Studios Éclair, he proved helpful under such directors as Eric Rohmer, Claude Lelouch and Luis Buñuel.
