Created in Jordan, raised in Ohio, and surviving in LA for days gone by 14 years, Sundance-winning article writer/movie director Amin Matalqa makes movies about dreamers and unsung heroes, bridging the cultural spaces between East and Western. His 1st feature, Captain Abu Raed, earned the World Movie theater Audience Award in the Sundance Film Event in 2008 alongside 27 international event awards and became the very first Oscar distribution from Jordan.
