Amjad Hossain was created in 14 August, 1942 in Jamalpur, East Bengal, Uk India (now Bangladesh) within a Muslim family members. He started composing rhymes and poems at his early age group. He also had written short tales, juvenile tales and books. Hossain was directed linked to Mass uprising in 1969 against Ayub Khan and Liberation Battle of Bangladesh in 1971. Though he began his film profession as professional in Dharapat film in 1963, he set up himself being a director and article writer afterwards. Notable movies aimed by Amjad Hossain are Golapi Ekhon Traine (1978), Sundori (1979), Koshai (1980), Jonmo Theke Jolchi (1982), Drunk driving Poysar Alta (1982), Bhat Dey (1984), Golapi Ekhon Dhakay (2006), Golapi Ekhon Bilatey (2010). Amjad Hossain received Country wide Film Prize, Bangladesh in Greatest Director, Best Manufacturer, Best Story, Greatest Dialogue, Greatest Screenplay, Greatest Lyricist classes for 11 moments for his contribution in these areas. Additionally, he received Ekushey Padak in 1993, Agrani Loan company Juvenile Literature Prize in 1993 and 1994, and Bangla Academy Prize in 2004 for his contribution in Bengali books.
