Angie Dickinson was created in Kulm, North Dakota, the child of Fredericka (Hehr) and Leo Henry Dark brown, a newspapers editor and publisher from the Kulm Messenger. Her parents had been both of German descent, using the family members surname originally becoming “Braun”(which in German is usually pronounced as dark brown). The family members still left North Dakota in 1942, when Angie was 11 years of age, shifting to Burbank, California. In Dec 1946, when she was a mature at Bellamarine Jefferson SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL in Burbank, she earned the 6th Annual Costs of Rights Competition. Two years afterwards, her sister Janet do likewise. Getting the daughter of the printer, Angie initially had visions to become a article writer, but provided this up after earning her initial beauty competition. After finishing university, she worked being a secretary within a Burbank aircraft parts manufacturer for 3-1/2 years. In 1953, she inserted the neighborhood Miss America competition one day prior to the deadline and got second place. In August from the same season, she was among five winners within a beauty competition sponsored by NBC and made an appearance in several tv variety displays.
