An enigmatic and far loved comedy acting professional Arthur Mullard carved a distinctive niche for himself in a bunch of English comedy movies and television shows. The sterotype Cockney he was created in Islington, North London where he was known by local people as ‘The Dook of Islington’. He left college in 14 to are a butcher’s young man.
