Barbara was awarded a scholarship or grant by the Good Arts Basis which launched her profession in NEW YORK. Like a soloist for the Harkness Ballet, she danced in the White colored House so that as a visitor using the Washington Ballet. Later on she extended her performing abilities to Broadway productions. While in NY, she received a five 12 months agreement with Warner Brothers Studios. Her 1st film, Finian’s Rainbow, offered her the appreciated honor of dance with Fred Astaire and she received two Golden World nominations. Ms. Hancock continues to be on the personnel in the Alliance Theater College since 1978 and offers performed in lots of musicals there. Ms. Hancock provides taught on the Georgia Ballet, Brenau University, Theater West in LA, as well as the Performing Arts Middle.
