Barry Beckett studied in the fledgling film college in the London University of Printing using the former CBS maker Bob Morgan, after gaining a qualification in GRAPHICAL DESIGN and Pictures. With fellow college student Patrick Cassavetti performing as movie director, he filmed and edited the wrestling documentary, “Girls and Gentlemen and Wrestlers” in 1973. From 1974-76, he worked for Maker, Leon Clore at Film Contracts in London, in the editing and enhancing division with Barney Greenwood for Karell Reisz, Stephen Frears, Larry Pizer, Anthony Simmons. From 1976-1978, he was editing and enhancing and audio editor for Crossroads of Civilization, for maker David Frost and Director Tony Mayer. South Standard bank Display, film editor for Melvin Bragg, slicing movies on Harold Pinter, David Hockney, Ken Russel.
