Bob Give was trained in Rada after spending time being a Lieutenant using the Royal Artillery. He plied his trade in the first place in Repertory and made an appearance on stage for quite some time all over the UK. His function in rep continuing up to the middle-90s. He’ll be best appreciated for his function of Jack port Harper, the cheeky bus conductor along with his traditional cigarette, cheeky have a good laugh and his interest for the girls and, obviously, winding up outdated Blakey, the Inspector in For the Buses (1969). For the Buses was an enormous achievement for Bob and his co-star, Reg Varney, working from 1969 to 1973 with 76 shows and 3 spin-off movies.
