Mini Biography

Amon continues to be called the best Grand Prix drivers to haven’t won a global Championship competition. He certainly was among the unluckiest due to that. The child of a fresh Zealand sheep farmer, Amon began racing at age 18 and only two years later on (1963) he became a member of the Method 1 World Tournament circuit. After four years and small achievement, Amon got his big break when he became a member of Ferrari in 1967. Despite 3 years with famous group in race, Amon didn’t win a competition, coming close many times. He then became a member of the brand new March Executive team and experienced some more encouraging drives, but cannot attain the very best place and he completed out his profession with several smaller groups (including his personal) before silently bowing from race in 1976, and shifting back again to New Zealand.
