St. Louis-born Chuck Keehne was the kid of the railroad telegrapher, who transferred the family members to Missouri when Chuck was about 10. After graduating senior high school he transferred to California, and shortly found focus on a structure crew building film pieces. He was ultimately hired by Traditional western Costume Co. being a costumer, and became a specialist on historical outfit and costuming.
