Craig Herbert Hammill was created on July 29th, 1977 in LA, California. Given birth to to a Catholic mom and a Jewish dad, who later on divorced and continued to marry different spouses, Hammill is usually among seven siblings when all of the families are mixed. Hammill wrote content articles on teen existence for the LA Times while going to Laguna Beach SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL and lived, for a while, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia when he was 15 and 16 on the scholarship. Hammill received his B.A. and M.F.A. at USC’s College of Cinematic Arts. He spent a half-year on the Czech Republic’s famed film college, FAMU, learning with Jiri Menzel, movie director from the Academy-Award earning 1966 Czech film, Carefully Watched Trains. While at USC, Hammill was also mentored by Mean Roads and Raging Bull screenwriter, Mardik Martin, who helped Hammill along with his screenwriting. Hammill’s brief film as article writer/movie director, The Cleats of Imminent Doom, about soccer parents and soccer children, played in celebrations internationally before getting bought and distributed on tv by IFC in 2006. Hammill has truly gone to direct advertisements for the NORTH PARK Chargers’ charities, documentaries, including a single in Un Salvador, educational webisode series, and worked being a surveillance camera operator for Academy-award being successful cinematographer, Haskell Wexler, shortly before Wexler’s passing.
