The son of a global Banker from Glasgow and Irish Nurse, he was created in the Zambian copper belt in 1973 and was raised in Africa, India as well as the Arabian Gulf whilst being educated in Britain at Ampleforth College. After graduating from the University or college of Reading started broadcasting career like a freelance article writer for BBC Radio 4 before getting into award-winning documentary movies, producing programs for PBS, Finding, Country wide Geographic, BBC, Route 4, Five and additional major worldwide broadcasters. Also created and directed several Corporate movies for a number of blue chip customers including Armani, Ericsson, Salvatore Ferragamo, McKinsey, The Daily Telegraph and Monocle Publication.
