Daya grew up in Oakland, California by her East Indian dad and Latin mom. Due to her diverse history and skill with accents, humor and vocabulary, Daya can play a different range of individuals. Whether a hardcore nuyorican detective from Queens, a funny and fiery Colombian telenovela superstar, a gritty Oakland homegirl, or at the very top Bombay socialite, Daya gets the chops and range to totally transform and immerse herself in a job. Performing is definitely in her bloodstream. At age 3, she started dancing beneath the tutelage of Oakland Ballet’s creative movie director Ron Guidi and by age 11, she was executing with the esteemed Bay Area Youngsters Movie theater. After graduating from senior high school, Daya went to U.C.L.A, where she majored in Movie theater and minored in Dance. She’s starred in lots of regional movie theater productions, like the west coastline premiere of Jose Rivera’s, “Marisol,” where she performed the title function. Daya took a sabbatical from university and danced on scholarship or grant using the Alvin Ailey American Dance Movie theater in NEW YORK. Although she enjoyed to dance, Daya wished to surface finish pursuing her level. She came back to LA and finished her research at U.C.L.A, earning a BFA in Movie theater. Since graduating, Daya provides spent her time taken between NY and L.A., showing up in a large number of commercials, tv shows and movies. She is an associate of the LA based theater firm – Theater Tribe and proceeds her research with award earning director and performing trainer, Stuart Rogers. Recently, Daya provides appeared as a string regular over the CBS strike display, “Unforgettable,” do an arc about ABC Family’s, “Twisted,” and finished an eye catching, funny, sexy lead part about ABC’s “Castle.” Daya fulfilled her spouse Don Wallace within the group of the award earning, indie film “Blue,” which he published, they starred in collectively and he created.
