Debbie Reynolds was created Mary Frances Reynolds in Un Paso, Texas, the next kid of Maxine N. (Harmon) and Raymond Francis Reynolds, a carpenter for the Southern Pacific Railroad. Her film profession started at MGM after she gained a beauty competition at age group 16 impersonating Betty Hutton.
