Don was created on Feb 3, 1918 in Butte, Montana and moved along with his mom and sibling and sisters to Hollywood when he was a young man after his dad died. His mom went a boarding home in Hollywood. When he was 19 he got employment at Disney Studios on Hyperion Road in LA as an inker. He worked well his method up to design, background and artwork movie director. When Disney Studios relocated to its Burbank area Don fulfilled Katherine (Kay) Street, a secretary in the studio room, and they had been married. Don worked well in the studio room for 52 years just going for a break to become listed on the Vendor Marines when Globe Battle II broke out. He as well as the various other Disney animators resided with the adage, “He who dies with playthings wins!” Each animator’s workplace was usually full of multiple toys that have been played with frequently throughout the day. When Walt Disney opened up Cal Arts Don trained sketching classes there in the school’s initial couple of years.
