Donnie Fritts began his profession being a musician at age 15, using drums and key pad. In 1965 Fritts began writing music and had music documented by Ray Charles, Jerry Lee Lewis, Willie Nelson yet others. Being a songwriter, Donnie’s music were performed and appeared in the country wide graphs by Charlie Full (You’re Gonna Like Yourself In the Morning’ (1980), Dolly Parton (WE’D It All-1986), and Waylon Jennings (WE’D It All-1973). In 1967, Fritts began using keyboards for Kris Kristofferson, also a Florence, Alabama indigenous, a relationship that spanned twenty years and in locations both nationally and internationally. Donnie appeared in a number of films with Kris Kristofferson, including ‘The Last Many years of Frank and Jesse Adam’ (1986-Television), ‘Songwriter’ (1984), ‘Convoy'(1978), and ‘A Superstar is Given birth to’ (1976), and two other Sam Peckinpah’s films furthermore to ‘Convoy’; ‘Pat Garrett & Billy the Child’ (1973) and ‘Provide Me the top of Alfredo Garcia’ (1974). In 1998, Donnie released an album ‘Everybody’s Got A Tune’ which include guest appearances by Willie Nelson, Tony Joe White, and Kris Kristofferson and John Prine, aswell as much others. In 2001, Fritts had a kidney transplant that closely followed seven heart operations. While he was recovering in a healthcare facility following the transplant, a pal asked how he was doing. Fritts responded that he previously “one feet in the groove.” It became the name of a Compact disc in 2008. On Feb 22, 2008, Kristofferson was readily available in Montgomery, Alabma to induct Donnie in to the Alabama Music Hall of Popularity. On March 06, 2008, Donnie Fritts who’s energetic on the Muscle Shoals (Alabama) music picture appeared with Billy Bob Thornton for The Billy Bob Bash: A Muscle Scoals Homecoming on the Shoals Theatre in downtown Florence, Alabama as part of the George Lindsey UNA Film Festival. In 2008 Billy Bob and Donnie also started co-writing several brand-new songs.
