Born in NEW YORK in 1861, pianist/composer Edward MacDowell formally studied music young. He visited Paris, France, at age group 15 and went to the world-famous Conservatoire. 2 yrs afterwards he still left France and journeyed to Germany, where he researched on the Frankfurt Conservatory. He discovered his specific niche market there, and 3 years afterwards he was appointed mind piano instructor on the Darmstadt Conservatory, where he started his composing profession.
