In 2005, Mr. Trybek gained three silver medals both domestically and overseas, on the 5th Thailand International Electric guitar Competition, the Portland Electric guitar Competition (USA), as well as the School of Southern California Concerto Competition (USA). Mr. Trybek was a finalist in the 2000 Turner Classical Film Youthful Film Composer Competition. After studying jazz guitar on the distinguished SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL for the Executing and Visual Arts in Houston, Edward Trybek transferred to LA in 2000 to review classical guitar at U.S.C. with Scott Tennant and Pepe Romero, getting his B.M. (2003) and M.M. (2005). There he also examined structure, orchestration, and counterpoint with Neal Desby.
