Born in NY, Elvis Crespo grew up in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico where his parents relocated soon after his delivery. The Puerto Rican vocalist often dreamt of either learning to be a football player or an associate from the then-popular Puerto Rican performing feeling, “Menudo,” nonetheless it had not been that he helped form the favorite merengue group, “Grupo Mania” that his popularity was sealed. Within “Grupo Mania,” Elvis sang both business lead and chorus, and helped popularize merengue, the favorite musical style in the Dominican Republic, in mainstream Latin entertainment. In 1998, Elvis made a decision to component methods with Grupo Mania after four effective albums, and proceeded to go solo along with his platinum-selling debut record, “Suavamente”. The name tune, “Tu Sonrisa,” and a duet with vocalist Millie Quezada all visited the top from the Billboard Latin graphs. In 1999 he released his second record, “Pintame” which also became a significant bestseller. Currently he resides in Puerto Rico, where he assists raise his kid from a prior marriage, Luis.
