Mini Biography
Emmett Alston began his profession within the 70s being a cinematographer: he shot the gloriously gonzo experimental horror oddity “Moonchild” as well as the Southern-fried drive-in romp “Nation Blue” (Alston also co-produced this last mentioned film). He produced his directorial debut using the crude off-the-wall humor “Three-Day Weekend.” He continued to helm two enjoyably schlocky fright features: the seasonal slasher outing “Brand-new Year’s Wicked” as well as the uproariously absurd sci-fi/horror item “Demonwarp.” Alston shows a particular affinity for entertainingly tacky fighting techinques action pictures, using the extremely inane tongue-in-cheek spoof “Nine Fatalities from the Ninja” ranking highly as a complete campy riot. Alston published the script for the fun “Deliverance” rip-off “Hunter’s Bloodstream.” His last credit up to now was like a co-producer for “Twogether.”
