France Winddance Twine was created in Chicago, Illinois. Her mom was a Dark American whose root base are in the Louisiana delta. Her dad was of Local American Creek (also called Muscogee) descent with root base in Oklahoma. She received a Bachelor’s level from Northwestern School and continued to a Ph.D. in Anthropology in the School of California, Berkeley. It had been during her research in Berkeley that she completed the film “Just Dark?”. She continued to complete her field analysis in Brazil culminating in her doctoral dissertation subsequently published as “Racism within a Racial Democracy”. Professor Twine is currently a full teacher in the section of sociology on the School of California, Santa Barbara. Her regions of specialization consist of feminism, anti-racism, vital competition theory and girl’s lifestyle.
