George Barris was created in Chicago in the mid twenties. In 1928, he and his old brother Sam shifted to Roseville, California with family members after their parents passed away. George pursued a enthusiasm for building scratch-built airplane models which resulted in model vehicles. The brothers fascination with cars intensified throughout their teenage years because they found out “the black artwork” of body function by going out after college at regional body shops. The film studios had used take note of Barris kustoms over the streets with races and found George for vehicles for their movies. Among the initial films Barris produced vehicles for was known as High School Private! (1958). The achievement of the original movie car project motivated George to get business in Hollywood. This included customizing the non-public cars from the superstars aswell. As days gone by forty plus years show, this association using the studios and superstars has been longer and amazing. As the sixties started, George shifted gears and bought a fresh store in Toluca Lake, CA where he designed and constructed award winning vehicles. He also became a dad to little girl Joji and kid Brett. George proceeds to work through of this store today.
