Famed singer and author Geraldine Farrar was informed in public areas schools and became a music student of Mrs. J.H. Long, Trabadello, Emma Thursby, Lilli Lehman and Graziani. Her 1901 debut was in the Royal Opera Home in Berlin, in the part of Marguerite in “Faust”. From 1906-22 she was an associate from the Metropolitan Opera in NY. During World Battle II she was mixed up in Red Cross as well as the AWVS, and in addition produced many lecture trips. She had written two autobiographies. Becoming a member of ASCAP in 1936, her songwriting credits consist of “Ecstasy of Planting season”, “Right here Beauty Dwells”, “The Tryst”, “The Alder Tree”, “The Mirage”, “Oh, Thou Field of Waving Corn”, “Morning hours”, “The Fountain”, “The Fantasy”, and “Like Comes and Moves” (all predicated on the music of Sergei Rachmaninoff), “DEPENDS UPON Understands”, “Dear Homeland”, “Good Rosemarin” (all predicated on Fritz Kreisler styles”) and “Tears” (predicated on a style by Modest Mussorgsky).
