Gertrude Michael was created in Talledega, Alabama on June 1, 1911. After graduating from senior high school, she made an appearance on radio, being a musician and “House Arts” consultant. She went to the College or university of Alabama and Converse University, Spartenburg,SC as well as the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music. It had been in Cincinnati, in 1929, that she produced her stage debut within a share company going by Stuart Walker. She eventually made an appearance on Broadway in Rachel Crothers’ “Captured Moist” (1931). She inserted the films playing Richard Arlen’s fiancée in Wayward (1932). Probably her best appreciated role may be the jealous “Rita Ross” of Murder on the Vanities (1934). She passed away in Hollywood on Dec 31, 1964.
